Journeys... exploring a place of newness that brings one closer to what lies within. In February, I took a trip to the south west. The big sky, old rocks, tradition, space...timelessness. I set out with my aunt and her granddaughter in a 1975 RV named Betsy. We giggled, cursed, and repeated 'this is so beautiful' probably a hundred times. In Arches National Park the sky turned from sunny to sleet to a double rainbow that illuminated the cloudy sky like watercolors that no human could paint. There I absorbed the expansion of the space and brought that feeling home to inspire a new body of work. I am thankful to be able to journey out and in through the inexplicable landscape and narrative of life.
